Mr. and Mrs. Kim Sypula of Venetia announce the engagement of their daughter, Gina, to Matthew Hall, son of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Hall of Saint Marys.

Gina is the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Jenny Magalotti of Monroeville, and the late Albert T. and June Sypula of Natrona Heights.

Matthew’s grandparents are Frederic and Doris Hall of Star Lake, N.Y., and Gertrude Gabert of Saint Marys, formerly of Allison Park, and the late James A. Gabert.

The bride-to-be is a 2009 graduate of Peters Township High School. In 2013 she graduated with high honors from Penn State University, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and earned bachelor of science degrees in world languages education and Spanish. She is pursuing a master of English as a second language from California University of Pennsylvania and is a Spanish teacher at Canon-McMillan High School.

The future groom is a 2008 graduate of Saint Marys Area High School and a 2012 graduate of The University of Pittsburgh where he earned a bachelor of science in business administration. He received his certified public accountant license in 2013, and a master of science in taxation from Robert Morris University in 2014. He is a tax manager at Foster Holdings Inc.

An Aug. 5, 2017, wedding is planned in Pittsburgh.
