Phoenix Rising

Maria Caruso, acclaimed artistic director of Bodiography, will tackle the largest of all creative projects in her life with the creation and performance of a full-length solo show in Pittsburgh at the Byham Theater on Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. Her show, Phoenix Rising, is a testament to her own strength, passion and ferocity as a dancer.

Don’t miss an evening of dance that spans ballet to ballroom, performed by celebrated artist, Maria Angelica Caruso. Following her 2015 retirement from Bodiography, Caruso traveled the globe performing solo works and engaging in communities across the world. Now, she returns to Pittsburgh for her first solo concert with premiere works created for her by renowned choreographers, Anjali Austin and James Martin, collaborative works with guest performances by the eminent Gabriel Ash, Joshua Sweeny, and Victor Prisk, and a live performance art installation with the stylishly creative Tom Mosser.
