Richard Egarr: Clogg’d in the English Vein
Renaissance & Baroque presents world-class keyboardist and conductor Richard Egarr at 8 p.m. Jan. 14 at Synod Hall, Oakland.
Clogg’d in the English Vein focuses on Egarr’s homeland and explores the quirks and eccentricities of British music written for harpsichord. Works from 17th-century English composers Morley, Byrd, Blow and Purcell will be included in the program.
Egarr will be performing this same program at Carnegie Hall on the Thursday before his performance in Pittsburgh.
Tickets range in price from $20 to $35.
To purchase, call the R&B box office at 412-361-2048 or visit rbsp.org. Tickets will be available at the door on the evening of the performance, but will incur a $3 fee.
