Senior luncheon

Chabad of the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon, will hold a Pre Tu Bshvat Seniors Luncheon at noon on Feb. 8. Enjoy a variety of dried fruits at “Life’s Lessons Learned from a Tree.” Suggested donation is $5. Wheelchair accessible. For more information, call 412-278-2658.

SENIOR LUNCHEON

Peters Township Parks & Recreation holds senior luncheons at the Community Recreation Center in Peterswood Park on the second Wednesday of each month (October through May) from noon to 2 p.m. At each luncheon, entertainment, an interesting speaker or interactive activity is provided. These are free events, but attendees are asked to bring a covered dish or dessert to share.

The next luncheon will be held Feb. 8. Musician John Sarkis will entertain.

Snow Ball DancE

Consulate Health Care of North Strabane and Consulate Retirement Village of North Strabane will hold their annual Snow Ball Dance from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 11 at the senior living center located on Tandem Village Road in Canonsburg. Fitness classes

Westminster Recreation and Outreach Center at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, will offer the following fitness classes:

• Strong Bodies-Strong Bones: Maintain and Build Bone Strength, 9 to 9:50 a.m. Wednesdays, through Feb. 22.

• Gentle Yoga Morning & Evening Class, 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, through Feb. 22.

• Arthritis Foundation Exercise, 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. Mondays and 10 to 10:50 a.m. Wednesdays, through Feb. 22.

• Tai Chi, 11:15 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, through Feb. 22.

• Pilates Flow, 8 to 9 a.m. Mondays, through April 24. Strengthen and tone muscles, improve posture, flexibility and balance, while creating a more streamlined shape.

• Cardio Strength Fusion, 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, through April 26. This class incorporates a fusion of styles with focus on both aerobic and strength elements.

Chair exercises

Chair Exercises for Seniors takes place from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesdays at Scott Township Library. Space is limited for the DVD-directed program. To register, call 412-429-5380.

Theatrical-minded seniors

Better Than Ever Independents, also known as the Sassy Seniors, is a theatrical group that performs vaudeville-type shows at nursing homes, AARP meetings and more. New members ages 50 and older are needed. For more information, email jangary2@hotmail.com. There will also be a Christmas show, with performances beginning in November.

TOPS Weight loss

Have fun and enjoy contests and speakers while losing weight for $5 per month with TOPS (Take off Weight Sensibly) Chapter 475. The group meets at 6 p.m. Tuesdays at Carnegie Retirement Residence, Railroad Avenue. Weigh-ins at 7. To join or for more information, call Francis at 412-818-7489.
