Broadway hit ‘Spamalot’ coming to ACFL&MH
Through July 30
‘Spamalot’
Stage 62, the theater company in residence at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall in Carnegie, will present Monty Python’s “Spamalot” through July 30. Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” “Spamalot” is a Broadway hit and irreverent parody of the Arthurian legend. It was nominated for 14 Tony Awards and won three, including Best New Musical for 2005. Performances are at 8 p.m., and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.
Note: “Spamalot” pokes fun at almost everyone and everything, with a Pythonesque humor that is impertinent, disrespectful, and sometimes downright rude. This show is most appropriate for those ages 12 and older who can appreciate such humor in good fun.
