At the Bible Chapel, McMurray, a Special Needs Respite will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 10, at the South Hills campus. A time of fun and fellowship for congregants with special needs, while their families enjoy a night of rest and rejuvenation.

• Women’s Flexibility and Strength Training, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays, June 12-Aug. 21, for those wanting to build stamina and increase balance. It combines Bible study with yoga-like flexibility and strength exercises set to Christian music. Bring water and a yoga mat.

• Women’s Cardio and Strength Fusion, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. or 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 13-Aug. 24, for all fitness levels. Learn how fitness is a part of spiritual health and wholeness. Classes combine cardio workouts with mild strength training. Bring water, a towel and a mat.

• Women’s Cardio and Strength Boot Camp, 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays, June 17-Aug. 26, for all fitness levels. The class combines high-intensity cardio workouts with moderate strength training. Bring water, a towel and a mat.

At Center Presbyterian Church, McMurray, Centered Yoga is held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the Gathering Place. All skill levels are welcome as certified teacher Jamie Ignatius will provide modifications for everyone based on ability. A donation of $10 is appreciated. At Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park, Special Music in Worship will take place at 6 p.m. June 10. The Youth Choir from Church of the Savior UMC in Cincinnati will be on hand to provide special music in worship.

• Women’s Book Group, 3:30 p.m. June 14. Discuss “Just Mercy” by Bryan Stevenson.

• 14th Annual Pet Adoption and Care Fair, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 17, at the South Park Fairgrounds on Brownsville Road. Sponsored by Hearts and Paws Pet Ministry, the event will include more than 30 local rescue groups and shelters. Have your questions answered by Dr. Marina Siegert of Bethel Park Animal Clinic. Visit the silent auction and Hearts and Paws Boutique as well as more than 30 booths staffed by animal product vendors, crafters, artists, groomers and other animal service providers. Food will be sold as well.

• The Resilient: The Story of Esther, Ezra & Nehemiah, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, June 28 through August. This summer Bible study series with Rev. Seth McPherson will explore the works near the end of the Old Testament timeline in their context and how they may speak to us today.

At Crossroads Church of Christ, located on Thomas Road in McMurray, Bible study for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday (nursery available), followed by worship at 10:30 (nursery and cry room available).

At Crossroads Ministries, Finleyville, June Jamboree will take place June 16. Beginning at 6 p.m. there will be activities for all ages including live music, bounce houses, carnival-style games, concessions and more. The family-friendly movie “Sing” will follow at sundown (approximately 9 p.m.). Bring a lawn chair or blanket and watch the movie on the 30-foot screen outside on the lawn. Dollar concessions will be available.

At In His Presence Church, Venetia, Foundations of Honor, a special study series, is held at 7 p.m. Wednesday evenings. This teaching series is by well-known author and speaker Danny Silk. At Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Summer Discipleship groups meet from 10:15 to 11 a.m. June 11 through August.There will be a small fee for materials. Classes for children and youth are available at this hour as well. A nursery is available. There will be: “Selections From the Book of Luke-Connecting the Old Testament With the New Testament,” which will explore ways that stories of the gospel of Luke connect with the Old Testament; “The Fruit of the Spirit,” a small group LifeGuide Bible study; A women’s small group will study Charles Stanley’s book, “Where the Enemy Strikes”; Another LifeGuide Bible study group will meet at 12:30 p.m. following the Heritage Worship service for the study “The ‘I AM’ Statements of Jesus,” with lunch being offered (for a fee) for all who are interested. At South Hills Assembly of God, Bethel Park, a Men’s Fellowship Breakfast will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. June 10. Free breakfast, worship, prayer, conversation and uplifting speakers for men of all ages.

• Lunch Bunch Bible study and luncheon for adults, noon to 2 p.m. June 15. Cost is $6 and includes lunch. RSVP by June 13.

• A new session of Grief Share (support and encouragement after the death of a loved one), led by Pastor Pat Sutton, meets from 10 a.m. to noon or from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, through June 29. Find help for the grieving process through this Bible-based support group. Class consists of DVD teaching followed by discussion and sharing with others also on the grief journey. Join anytime and return for any of the classes you missed. Registration is $15 and includes a workbook.

At St. Louise de Marillac Parish, Upper St. Clair, the feast of Corpus Christi will be celebrated on June 18.
