Mt. Lebanon commissioners approve Uptown Place development
The Mt. Lebanon commissioners granted final approval last night to the Uptown Place land development plan that will feature five townhomes on Washington Road across the street from the Mellon Middle School auditorium.
The approval permits Rolling Lambert Building Company to begin development.
The Uptown Place development is described as upscale townhomes by Rolling Lambert, which also built the new carriage homes at the Cool Springs Complex in Bethel Park. The website describes the units as having an elevator, 10-foot ceilings, a rooftop deck and two-car garages. They’re priced at $654,000.
The board also approved the execution of the land development agreement between NorthPoint Development and the municipality for the Beyond Self-Storage development on Castle Shannon Blvd. It will be the first self-storage option in Mt. Lebanon.
A vote regarding an appointment to the Medical Rescue Team South Authority was postponed because Commissioners Stephen McLean and Kelly Fraasch were not in attendance.
Harold Hasley was presented with Mt. Lebanon’s annual Community Service award at the start of last night’s meeting. Hasley was a longtime Mt. Lebanon volunteer firefighter who volunteers officially and unofficially in Mt. Lebanon, Commissioner Dave Brumfeld said.
“He’s a doer,” Lisa Borelli Dorn, who presented the award alongside Commissioner Steve Silverman, said. “He exemplifies what all the rest of us strive to be.”
