• How Many Elephants?, 2 p.m. June 28, grades K-2. The Brooklyn Bridge once held 21 elephants to demonstrate how strong it was. Test your bridge-building skills with a variety of materials. Register.

• Community Star Party, 9 p.m. June 28. Astronomy presentation followed by guided viewing of the night sky through telescopes owned by AAAP volunteer members. Bring binoculars if you have them. Rain or cloudy make up date is July 19.

Learn how to combine wool fibers through wet felting to create your own fiber Geode ball, which can be cut into one-of-a-kind shapes for display or to wear. Bring a terry cloth dishtowel. Sponsored by the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania’s Citizen Science Series. This session includes a trip to Mt. Lebanon Park for a firefly count.

• The Healthcare Movie and Discussion, 7 p.m. June 28. View the award-winning documentary “The Healthcare Movie” by the Canadian/American couple Laurie Simmons and Terry Sterrenberg. Learn the real story of the how the health care systems in Canada and the United States evolved to be so completely different. A discussion led by Norm Wien, former vice president of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, immediately follows the film.
