At the Bible Chapel, McMurray, will hold registration for Upward Flag Football on June 24. The program is designed to introduce young athletes to the game while providing Christian focus. This summer Bible study series with Rev. Seth McPherson will explore the works near the end of the Old Testament timeline in their context and how they may speak to us today. At In His Presence Church, Venetia, Foundations of Honor, a special study series, is held at 7 p.m. Wednesday evenings. This teaching series is by well-known author and speaker Danny Silk. At Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Summer Discipleship groups meet from 10:15 to 11 a.m. through August. There will be a small fee for materials. Classes for children and youth are available at this hour as well. A nursery is available. There will be: “Selections From the Book of Luke-Connecting the Old Testament With the New Testament,” which will explore ways that stories of the gospel of Luke connect with the Old Testament; “The Fruit of the Spirit,” a small group LifeGuide Bible study; A women’s small group will study Charles Stanley’s book, “Where the Enemy Strikes”; Another LifeGuide Bible study group will meet at 12:30 p.m. following the Heritage Worship service for the study “The ‘I AM’ Statements of Jesus,” with lunch being offered (for a fee) for all who are interested. • A new session of Grief Share (support and encouragement after the death of a loved one), led by Pastor Pat Sutton, meets from 10 a.m. to noon or from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, through June 29. Find help for the grieving process through this Bible-based support group. Class consists of DVD teaching followed by discussion and sharing with others also on the grief journey. Join anytime and return for any of the classes you missed. Registration is $15 and includes a workbook.
