AIC
The Adult Interest Center at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Mt. Lebanon offers entertainment, information, fellowship and a meal for active, older adults in the greater South Hills community. Programs are held at 11 a.m. Fridays (September through June) and are free and open to all. Lunch is served at noon for $6, and no reservations are necessary. During Lent, a meatless entrée will be available for those who abstain from meat on Fridays. On March 31, Joe Diamond returns with his musical variety program. Open house
Concordia of the South Hills will hold an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. April 2 and 3 at its location on Bower Hill Road, Mt. Lebanon. Sunday’s event will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. At 2, Phil Solomon’s Tropical Adventure Steel Band will perform. Pre-Passover luncheon
Chabad of the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon, will hold a Pre-Passover Seniors Luncheon at noon on April 5, featuring musical holiday entertainment, Passover treats and raffle prizes. Suggested donation is $5. Wheelchair accessible. To register, call 412-278-2658.
Yoga
Westminster Recreation & Outreach Center (WROC) at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, offers a Gentle Yoga Morning & Evening Class from 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, through April 12. Dormont AARP
Dormont AARP #3015 meets the second Thursday of each month, year round, at Wallace Presbyterian Church on Greentree Road (intersection of Potomac and Greentree). All seniors age 55 and older are welcome, including new members and visitors. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. A meeting follows at noon. Light refreshments are served. Free food
South Fayette Township is partnering with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to provide monthly distributions of free boxes of nonperishable foods, plus fresh cheese, to qualifying adults age 60 and up who meet the income guidelines. Application must be made in person at the South Fayette Township Municipal Building, located on Millers Run Road in Morgan. South Fayette Township residents and neighbors are welcome to apply. Chair exercises

Theatrical-minded seniors
Better Than Ever Independents, also known as the Sassy Seniors, is a theatrical group that performs vaudeville-type shows at nursing homes, AARP meetings and more. New members age 50 and older are needed. For more information, email jangary2@hotmail.com.
