Lunch/movie
Mt. Lebanon Rec Center will hold a Senior Luncheon and Movie Matinee on May 9 for all seniors and their adult guests (Mt. Lebanon residency not required) at the Rec Center, 2nd floor, Room A. Check-in is at 10:30 a.m. in the Rec Office. The presentation “Preparing for & Affording Long Term Care,” will take place at 11. Fee of $6 per person is due by noon on May 5. Preregister. Pickleball Clinic Day
Pickleball Clinic Day will be held at 1 p.m. May 8 at the Community & Recreation Center at Boyce Mayview Park, Upper St. Clair. The event is free for all beginners interested in learning more about Pickleball. Program includes one-hour of instruction followed by one-hour of free play. The C&RC offers Beginner Pickleball Play from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Mondays, and Intermediate/Advanced Pickleball Play from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Hilltoppers meet
The Hilltoppers of Scott Township will meet on May 10 at Covenant-Community Presbyterian Church, Greentree Road. Doors open at 11 a.m. for fellowship. Bring a brown bag lunch to eat at noon; dessert is provided, and beverage is available. After lunch and a brief business meeting, The Button Box Club will entertain with polkas and waltzes. Arthritis exercise
Westminster Recreation & Outreach Center (WROC) at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, offers an Arthritis Foundation Exercise class for seniors age 55+ from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. Mondays and from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Wednesdays, through June 21. Dormont AARP
Dormont AARP 3015 meets the second Thursday of each month throughout the year at Wallace Presbyterian Church on Greentree Road. All seniors age 55 and older are welcome. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. A meeting follows at noon. For more information, call Beverly at 412-563-3961.
Chair exercises
Chair Exercises for Seniors takes place from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesdays at Scott Township Library. Space is limited. To register, call 412-429-5380.
Free food
South Fayette Township is partnering with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to provide monthly distributions of free boxes of nonperishable foods, plus cheese, to qualifying adults age 60 and up who meet the income guidelines. Application must be made in person at the South Fayette Township Municipal Building, Millers Run Road. South Fayette Township residents and neighbors are welcome to apply. Those having a caretaker or needing someone to pick up their boxes are asked to call 412-221-8700. Theatrical-minded seniors
