Stage 62 to present madcap musical comedy
May 11-14, 18-21
‘Peter and the Starcatcher’
Stage 62, the theater company in residence at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall in Carnegie, will present the Tony Award-winning play with music “Peter and the Starcatcher” May 11-14 and 18-21. The cast includes musical theater majors from several Pittsburgh universities as well as seasoned veterans of the local stage and comedy scenes.
Based on the best-selling novels, “Peter and the Starcatcher” is a rollicking, tuneful prequel to the beloved Peter Pan story. Starcatcher-in-training Molly and a nameless orphan boy embark on an epic sea quest. The show is geared to both adults and children (Stage 62 suggests 8 years old and up). Thursday through Saturday performances are at 8 p.m., and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. There will be a dessert reception after the show on opening night, May 11. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.
