Open house

Health & Fitness Day
UPMC for Life members and anyone aged 65 and older is invited to the Wild Things Park in Washington to participate in activities that are part of the 24th annual National Senior Health & Fitness Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 31. Get moving with a fitness demonstration, take a walk around the ballpark, or sing karaoke songs with friends. Receive preventive services including a blood pressure screening as well as height, weight, BMI and bone density testing. UPMC for Life Health Care Concierges will be in attendance to talk about plan benefits.
Pickleball
Chapel Sages at The Bible Chapel, McMurray, offers Open Gym Pickleball from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, through Sept. 5 at the South Hills campus. For more information, contact sports@biblechapel.org.
Seniors lunch
A seniors lunch will be held at noon on June 14 at Chabad of the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon. The event will include a program about the holiday of Shavuot, The Gift of the Torah, tips on floral arrangement, and a dairy lunch. Suggested donation is $5. Wheelchair accessible. Westminster Recreation & Outreach Center (WROC) at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, offers the following fitness classes for seniors 55+:
• Strong Bodies – Strong Bones, 9 to 9:50 a.m. Wednesdays, through June 21. Cost: $35.
• Arthritis Foundation Exercise, 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. Mondays and 10 to 10:50 a.m. Wednesdays, through June 21. Cost: $35 for either class.
• Tai Chi, 11:15 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, through June 21. Cost: $35.
• Gentle Yoga Morning & Evening Classes, 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, through July 12.
