Upper St. Clair commissioners will hold a public hearing July 3 for unified conditional use and preliminary land development approval for a Bank of America building.

The new bank building is planned for 1801 Washington Road, the current site of CVS, and will include two drive-through lanes and site improvements.

Demolition of the current CVS building would not take place until the new CVS, located at the former site of Campbell Place near Norman Centre, is open. The new CVS is expected to open in mid-July, pending weather delays.

The July 3 date was also set as the public hearing for the application for transfer of a liquor license to SHS 19, LLC from Steel City Saloon in West Mifflin.

The new restaurant, Social House Seven, is planned for 100 Sienna Drive, Suite 195 and is part of the AMPD Group. Other AMPD properties include Ten Penny, Steel Cactus, Local, Diesel Club Lounge, Skybar, Penn Society and Delanie’s Coffee.

At their June 5 regular meeting, the board is scheduled for the continuation of a public hearing for tentative approval for Friendship Village planned residential development phase VI. The three-phased development at 1290 Boyce Road calls for an assisted living/memory support building, skilled nursing building, and an independent living building.

Also scheduled for June 5 is the continuation of a public hearing for tentative approval of Laurel Place planned residential development, which calls for a 36-unit townhome project located at 1320 Mayview Road.

The board is expected to vote on the establishment of a Boyce Mayview Rail-with-Trail Ad Hoc Committee at their June 5 meeting. The Ad Hoc Committee would investigate the possibility of eventually connecting the Boyce Mayview Perimeter Trail with the Montour Trail and/or Peters Trail.
