Since the turn of the millennium, citizens have celebrated Bethel’s Bounty while the Bethel Park Community Foundation has raised money to supply grants and scholarships.

The event on Nov. 12 was no exception. While the organization netted more than $13,500, hundreds of supporters enjoyed edible treats from nearly 20 food vendors.

Since the start of the group’s inception in 1999, the Foundation, which is headed by president Daniel Duff, has awarded over $775,000 back into the community. In addition to sampling food from a number of caters, bakeries and restaurants as well as pubs and coffee joints, attendees had opportunities to win auction and raffle prizes. The Almanac served as one of five corporate sponsors, including Brentwood Bank, Bethel Bakery, Evey True Value Hardware and Tucker/Arensbert Attorneys.
