St. Clair Hospital’s new outpatient center will be named for Ed and Anna Dunlap, with good reason.

The longtime benefactors have made the largest gift in the history of the hospital that straddles Mt. Lebanon and Scott Township, according to officials, who announced Dec. 11 that the 80,000-square-foot, six-story building will be called the Dunlap Family Outpatient Center when it opens in late 2020.

“The incredible generosity of individuals like Ed and his wife, Anna, helps fund this remaking of St. Clair’s campus for generations to come,” said James Collins, St. Clair’s president and CEO. “We’re deeply grateful for their 20-year history of magnanimous support.”

Ed Dunlap is founder and chief executive officer of Cecil Township-based CentiMark Corp., the leader in the commercial roofing and flooring industry in the United States and Canada, with the company marking its 50th anniversary in 2018. The Dunlaps also own and operate LeMont Restaurant on Mt. Washington, and over the years have run several restaurants in the South Hills.

As honorary co-chairman of St. Clair’s Groundbreaking Growth campaign, Ed Dunlap has helped lead a capital campaign to raise funds for the construction of the $150 million outpatient center and an accompanying central utility building.

“The new outpatient center is our most important contribution to the Hospital. It’s going to streamline the way that St. Clair provides care for patients,” he said. “It’s important to my family and me because it’s important to the health of this community.”

Dunlap Family Outpatient Center will offer comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic outpatient services, including laboratory services, medical imaging, cardio diagnostics; physical and occupational therapy, an infusion center, and outpatient surgery with 10 operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and 51 pre- and post-surgical rooms.

Also featured are an endoscopy suite with six examination rooms, other multidisciplinary clinical programs, conference space, multiple seating options and a commercial pharmacy.
