Mt. Lebanon was awarded $220,000 from a state traffic grant July 12 to replace traffic signals at a congested area in the township.

State Rep. Dan Miller announced the Green Light-Go Program grant through a press release, which said the money will alleviate vehicle congestion by replacing the traffic signal at the intersection of Bower Hill Road and North Wren Drive/Firewood Drive. The grant will allow the intersection to be realigned to a four-way crossing.

The township also received the grant last year. The $925,801 was assigned to improve three intersections and 30 traffic signals in Mt. Lebanon.
