LeBron James-backed pizza chain opens in South Fayette
A day before Topgolf premiered in South Fayette, the Newbury Market development had another business open.
Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza opened July 19 at the Gateway Shops at Newbury Market, across from UPMC Children’s Hospital. Blaze Pizza, which opened in 2012 in California, is backed by NBA star LeBron James, who is a founding investor.
“Big week at Newbury,” said Brett Malky, president of Newbury, at the July 18 South Fayette commissioners meeting. “Topgolf is opening, and Blaze pizza is exciting as well. I think that’s going to be a tremendous success.”
The location is the fourth Blaze Pizza in the Pittsburgh-area, and only the fifth in the state.
The 2,600-square-foot restaurant next to Five Guys can seat 69 people between its indoor seating and outdoor patio.
The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
