Union Savings Bank asks for non-residential waiver for new location in Upper St. Clair
The Upper St. Clair commissioners heard testimony during their June 4 over a request by Union Savings Bank for non-residential conditional use approval for 1614 Washington Road.
In January, Union Savings Bank purchased the property and is occupying the space previously occupied by First National Bank and Fifth Third Bank. If approved, the conditional use will allow Union Savings Bank to occupy the space most recently occupied by Pazzo restaurant.
The applicant is requesting conditional use approval to permit an additional 4,053 square feet of bank office space in the previous restaurant space. The board voted to continue the public hearing on July 2.
In other business, the board voted to approve a contract for $75,942 with G&G Fitness of Williamsville, N.Y. to replace or upgrade fitness equipment at the Community and Recreation Center.
Also during the meeting, Boy Scout Alexander Wolfe received a proclamation from the commissioners congratulating him on his project Eagle Scout project, which took 118 hours with 16 volunteers, included building a retaining wall and installing benches and landscaping at the Children’s Theater in South Park for the Allegheny County Parks and Recreation. Wolfe is a member of Scout Troop 4 and a graduate of Upper St. Clair High School.
