The FBI in Pittsburgh has released photos of the man who robbed a Peters Township bank May 4 and another bank in Coraopolis less than an hour later.
The man robbed the KeyBank branch at 4073 Washington Road in the township about 3:20 p.m. and then another KeyBank at 953 5th Ave. in Coraopolis at 4:15 p.m.
The robber showed a handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of money.
Peters Township police Chief Doug Grimes said no one was hurt during the incident, but did not give any further information at the scene. He said it is unknown whether his department or the FBI will handle the “active investigation.”
The man is 6-feet-tall with a muscular build, investigators said.
Police in Peters Township, Coraopolis and Allegheny County are assisting the FBI with the investigation.
