Crew member dies on set of Mister Rogers movie filming in Mt. Lebanon

A crew member working on the new Mister Rogers movie in Mt. Lebanon died Oct. 11 after he fell from a balcony at an apartment complex that was being used for the set.
James M. Emswiller, 61, of Lincoln Place, fell shortly before 7:30 p.m. from the second-floor apartment balcony at 769 Shady Drive East, the Allegheny County medical examiner said. He was taken to a Pittsburgh area hospital, where he died about an hour later.
Emswiller died of blunt impact injuries to the head and torso, and his death was ruled an accident, according to the medical examiner.
Mt. Lebanon police are investigating whether he suffered a medical emergency before falling.
Emswiller was reportedly working on sound production for the “You Are My Friend” movie, which is based on the life of Fred Rogers.
Tom Hanks, who is playing Rogers in the movie, was at the site and later left, according to multiple media reports.
