Plans approved for new USC Chase Bank branch

Upper St Clair commissioners voted to give final land development approval to J. P. Morgan Chase Bank’s plans to demolish the former Trunk Show Boutique building at 1815 Washington Road and construct a 2,597 square foot Chase Bank branch with drive-up ATM and related site improvements.
Also on the board’s August 5 agenda was a public hearing about Tuscany Pointe, a planned residential development at 1500 McLaughlin Run Road, which was tabled until Sept. 3.
The board adopted a resolution for a revision to the official sewage facilities plan for McLaughlin Run Road roundabout.
Because of PennDOT’s future roundabout project, the township must relocate and update certain sanitary sewer facilities along McMillan Road.
The board also adopted a resolution for the township’s five-year capital improvement plan for 2020-2024, following a presentation by finance director Mark Romito. Sanitary sewer projects make up the bulk of the municipality’s capital improvement spending. The five-year capital improvement plan is available to the public on the township’s website.
In other business, township resident Wayne Herrod voiced concerns about the lack of maintenance on the hillside behind the CVS store on Washington Road.
Township officials said notices of violation have been sent to CVS for not maintaining the hillside.
