No-Shave November’s Best Beard awarded in South Fayette
South Fayette Township police Officer Alex Korkus is winner of the Best Beard poll for No-Shave November.
He and fellow officers participated in the national cause to help raise money to help fight cancer. Thanks to donations from the community and police officers, $3,686 was raised during the month in South Fayette.
No-Shave November’s mission not only is to raise funds for cancer research and treatment, but to educate people about preventive measures. In six-plus years, the campaign has successfully raised more than $3.5 million to combat the disease.
