29th annual Garden Tour benefits Mt. Lebanon Public Library

The 29th annual Garden Tour benefiting Mt. Lebanon Public Library will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 14.
This year’s tour will feature six distinctive Mt. Lebanon private gardens – including Mt. Lebanon’s own little lake, a prolific chicken coop, and a gorgeous cottage garden – and two community gardens.
Since the first tour in 1991, the event has been a source of more than $550,000 in funds for various amenities that make the library special, such as the outdoor courtyard and equipment for Matt’s Maker Space. The funds raised have provided books, audio-visual materials, magazines, programs and technology for patrons of all ages.
Tour Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event. They can be purchased at the Library circulation desk or at mtlebanonlibrary.org/463/Garden-Tour.
Preceding the tour is “Stardust Swing: An Evening in the Garden,” from 7 to 9 p.m. July 13 in the library courtyard and featuring a performance by Steel City Calypso. Tickets are $30 and are available at the library circulation desk, at the door on the evening of the event, or online at mtlebanonlibrary.org/464/Stardust-Swing.
