Little Lake hires new managing director
Little Lake Theatre Company recently announced it has hired Patricia Knapp as its managing director.
In this role, Knapp will be responsible for the financial aspects of the company, as well as development efforts and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the organization.
“I am both honored and excited to take on the role of managing director at Little Lake Theatre and to support this passionate, dedicated team of professionals and volunteers,” Knapp said. “The conversations I’ve had with the artistic director, the board, the staff and the search committee members have been invigorating, exciting and heartfelt.”
Knapp brings to Little Lake more than 30 years of experience in business, including 18 years in theater marketing and management. Knapp spent 15 of those years in Pittsburgh. Most recently, Knapp worked as business and development director of the Washington Revels, a cultural institution in the greater Washington, D.C. area. During her time at the Revels, Knapp improved overall operational and audit procedures and introduced new fundraising initiatives.
“I am excited to return to the Pittsburgh theater community,” Knapp said. “I look forward to collaborating with Little Lake subscribers, donors, artists, sponsors — the Little Lake family — to continue the commitment to excellence.”
Little Lake Board President Kathy DeBlassio will introduce Patricia Knapp to the public at several theater events in October.
“Patti has shown to have a real connection to community theater and a strong belief in the positive role a theater like Little Lake can play in the everyday lives of those around us,” DeBlassio said. “We are looking forward to her contributions, and we welcome her as part of the Little Lake family.”
