Survey says… That’s for you to help decide.
Mt. Lebanon has launched a questionnaire to help improve communication with residents, business owners and property owners by ensuring the municipality is providing information they want to receive and determining their preferred method of communication.
“It’s pretty simple and easy to complete online,” assistant township manager Ian McMeans said at the Mt. Lebanon Commission’s Oct. 22 discussion session.
According to public information officer Laura Lilley, 832 responses had been received by that day, filled out in an average of about four minutes.
For those who prefer circumventing the computer, the municipality has made arrangements for that, as well.
“The hard copy versions of the survey have been sent to the printer. They are currently processing those, and they should be out the door from the printer by the end of next week,” McMeans told commissioners. “We’ve spoken with department heads for the recreation center, public safety center, library and municipal building, so everybody is ready to receive those.”
The municipality requests only one survey per person, for individuals who are 18 and older. The deadline for survey submissions is Nov. 27.
“All responses to this survey are subjective and intended to be made based on respondents’ opinions. There are no right or wrong answers,” the online version states. “Please note that surveys will be accepted even if all questions are not answered. In particular, the requested demographic information is not required. While it will be helpful to us in formulating an overall communications plan, answering those questions is entirely voluntary.”
