Part of Bethel Church Road westbound lane in Bethel Park to Close Sept. 8
The westbound lane of Bethel Church Road will close between Alton Drive and Walther Lane in Bethel Park starting at 9 a.m. Sept. 8.
The closure, which is expected to end in December 2020, is required for construction of a rock embankment, extension of a stormwater pipe, and replacement of pavement and guide rail.
The eastbound lane will remain open to traffic throughout construction. Westbound passenger vehicles will be detoured using Logan Road, South Park Road and Drake Road.
Because a weight restriction on Logan Road, westbound trucks weighing more than 10 tons will be detoured using Fort Couch Road, Washington Road (Route 19) and McMurray Road.
The $195,950 Allegheny County Public Works project is being done by Michael Facchiano Contracting, Inc. of Mt. Lebanon.
