Since 2011, Serve2Cure: A Rally to Ace Cancer, an annual event at Mt. Lebanon Tennis Center, has raised about $150,000.

Proceeds from the 2019 event allowed the Serve2Cure committee to present a $20,000 check recently to the Cancer Caring Center, a Bloomfield-based nonprofit that offers services, 29 monthly support groups, for those who are dealing with different types of cancer.

“When we were looking at different organizations to benefit this year, the Cancer Caring Center kind of spoke to all of us in different ways,” Robin Scibek, a committee member, said prior to September’s Serve2Cure.

“And so it was a unanimous vote for us in terms of a worthwhile organization to support.”
