Mt. Lebanon Public Library kicks off summer reading program

Mt. Lebanon Public Library’s summer reading program invites children, teens and adults to “Imagine Your Story” by diving into some good books.
To register on the program’s kickoff day, June 15, or any time through Aug. 7, visit www.mtlebanonlibrary.org/SummerReading2020. Participants will be able to and keep track of the books they’ve read to earn chances to win small weekly prizes and larger end-of-the-program prizes
Downloadable books will be available for free through Hoopla and Overdrive, accessible with a library card on the library’s website. For those who prefer a printed book, limited curbside pickup services should be in place at Mt. Lebanon Library by late June, although options may be limited until countywide delivery services resume.
Throughout the summer, the library will offer virtual programming and events around the theme “Imagine Your Story.” Check the Library’s online calendar at mtlebanonlibrary.org for descriptions, dates and times. There will be programs and activities for all ages and interests, including:
- Weekly storytimes;
- Interactive activities;
- Special presenters for younger children;
- Author talks;
- Weekly discussion groups;
- Presentations;
- Book Bingo;
- Weekly book chats;
