Bethel Park’s emergency food drive is continuing in partnership with these organizations benefiting the local community: South Hills Interfaith Movement, Operation Troop Appreciation, Bethel-St. Clair Meals On Wheels, South Hills Assembly of God and Red Door Ministries.

Donations are being accepted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays at the front entrance of Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Ave.

The updated list of items needed now includes:

  • Food – canned tuna, canned soup, Ensure and other supplement drinks, and individually bagged chips and other snacks. Donors are asked to check the expiration date of items prior to donation.
  • Personal items – shampoo, toothpaste and deodorant.
  • Other – paper towels and empty boxes (will be used to pack items).

Monetary donations are also being accepted. Checks should be made out to the agency donors wish to contribute to and can be dropped off at the community center during food drive hours.

The municipality is using all approved U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention protocols to handle donated items.
