Mt. Lebanon plans parade for graduating seniors

The Mt. Lebanon Fire Department, Mt. Lebanon Police Department and Mt. Lebanon School District will present the “Class of 2020 Senior Salute” May 29.
Starting at 9 a.m., a cavalcade of fire, police and school district vehicles filled with familiar faces will hit the streets with the goal of driving by the home of each of the district’s 423 graduating seniors.
The event has strict safety rules: No one may join the procession. Please do not congregate in groups, and please stay in your yard. Please observe all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, including social distancing of at least six feet, cover coughs and sneezes with an elbow, and stay inside your home if you do not feel well.
The trip will likely take at least eight hours. Here is the order of neighborhoods:
- Sunset Hills/Howe;
- Castle Shannon Business District;
- Mission Hills;
- Sunridge neighborhood;
- Hoodridge Hilands/Foster neighborhood;
- Markham neighborhood;
- Carleton Manor;
- Cedarhurst Manor;
- Jefferson neighborhood;
- Virginia Manor;
- Twin Hills/Beverly Road neighborhood;
- Uptown Mt. Lebanon.
