Virtual seminar addresses ‘What’s New In Metastatic Breast Cancer’

A virtual seminar, “What’s New In Metastatic Breast Cancer,” is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 21.
Offering the program are Allegheny Health Network and the Glock Foundation, an organization that supports targeting breast cancer through clinical trials. President and founder Carol Glock, a Bethel Park resident and Washington & Jefferson College professor, was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer in 2013.
The seminar features a series of presentations on a variety of relevant topics. Keynote speakers are Dr. Mark Trombetta, a radiation oncologist at Allegheny Health Network’s Cancer Institute, and Dr. Christie Hilton, a medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of breast cancer at the AHN Cancer Institute at Allegheny General Hospital.
Other speakers include Cara Snyder, presenting “The Voice of a Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer Thriver”; José Rosa, president of Everest Eats, “Change Your Habits, Change Your Life”; and Dr. Karl Bezak of UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore Hospitals, “Better Together: Palliative Care and You.”
The seminar is intended for obstetricians and gynecologists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and other health care professionals, and metastatic breast cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.
