Of course, dogs like treats, too!

The annual Trick-or-Treat Trail at Peterswood Park became a drive-through “Trunk or Treat,” with goodies handed out to children as they were seated in their families’ vehicles.

An array of vendors lined the road near the park’s entrance from Froebe Road, wearing masks to help protect everyone against the spread of COVID-19.

Although the annual Haunted Trail wasn’t held this year, the Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department came up with a way to allow for a fun afternoon Oct. 18 while promoting safety.

Except for visitors not getting a whole lot of exercise, Trunk or Treat replicated traditional Halloween events as closely as possible, and the parks and recreation department’s staff members have plenty of ideas to help celebrate the coming holidays in similarly secure conditions.
