Nine Upper St. Clair High School students successfully auditioned to participate in four 2021 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association all-state ensembles.

  • All-State Orchestra: Sophie Chen, grade 11, violin; Naiya Livingston, grade 12, violin; Rumaysa Alam, grade 11, viola; Eleanor Alford, grade 10, viola
  • All-State Chorus: Ben Lang, grade 12, bass; Rebecca Lang, grade 10, soprano; Maddie Nolen, grade 12, Alto
  • All-State Wind Ensemble: Phoebe Chen, grade 11, flute
  • All-State Concert Band: Steven Halpner, grade 12, percussion
  • PMEA is a statewide nonprofit organization of more than 4,000 members, dedicated to promoting the musical development of all Pennsylvanians. The organization promotes and supports quality music education, learning and performance as well as promoting and supporting music education in schools and communities. PMEA is affiliated with the National Association for Music Education.
