Three Upper St. Clair High School students have qualified for induction into the National Technical Honor Society. Juniors Ariana Braughler, Tiffany Caskey and Lia Cortolillo will be honored May 6 at Parkway West Career and Technology Center.

In addition, graduating seniors Ethan Hanson and Madison Jordan, who were inducted into the NTHS last spring, will be recognized with honor stoles.

To be eligible for induction, students must have completed a full year at Parkway West, have five or fewer unexcused absences, achieved an A average in their tech program and a B or higher in their academic classes, and successfully participate in an interview process. Inductees should embody seven attributes: leadership, scholarship, skills, honesty, citizenship, service and responsibility.

The National Technical Honor Society currently serves more than 100,000 active members and nearly 2 million alumni since its inception in 1984. NTHS honors the achievements of top career and technical education students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce.
