Mt. Lebanon’s Denis Theatre presents ‘Racism – In My Neighborhood?’

Mt. Lebanon’s Denis Theatre presents a virtual community dialogue, “Racism – In My Neighborhood?”
The free program is scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 13 via Zoom and Facebook Live. A distinguished panel of speakers will share their insights on racial disparities in our area.
Serving as moderator is Jon Delano, president of The Denis Theatre Foundation Board. Featured panelists are:
• Stephanie Edmond-Myers, member of the Steering Committee of the Mt. Lebanon Organization for Racial Equality and the Mt. Lebanon School District’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force.
• Elaine Frantz, professor of history at Kent State University and a Mt. Lebanon resident involved in local police and prison reform. She is the author of “Ku-Klux, The Birth of the Klan during Reconstruction.”
• Chris Ivey, award-winning commercial director who is best known internationally for his documentary series “East of Liberty,” chronicling race, class and gentrification issues in Pittsburgh.
• Tony Norman, award-winning columnist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, serving on the newspaper’s editorial board from 1999 to 2016, and president of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists.
