Holy Cross Greek-food-to-go sale returns in Mt. Lebanon

Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 123 Gilkeson Road, Mt. Lebanon, will hold a second online Greek-food-to-go sale June 16-18.
The sale will be filled with hand-prepared Greek delicacies, including a few new additions.
Holy Cross’ Greek food to go will be available via online order and pickup only. Participants can order and pay online, choose a pickup time, and volunteers will deliver food to directly to their car.
Volunteers will be following COVID-19 guidelines with contactless delivery to any vehicle. The drive-in pickup process is streamlined to make it more efficient and reduce wait times.
Featured will be open-face gyros, savory kebobs, oregano chicken, pastitsio, moussaka, grilled lamb chops, tiropita, spanakopita and stuffed grape leaves, plus new offerings such as souzakakia — Greek meatballs simmered in tomato sauce — and loukoumades. Desserts include baklava, rice pudding, koulourakia and pastry samplers.
For almost half a century, Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church has held the annual festival, and this online sale is a way to share the traditional Greek way of life while providing an important fundraiser for the church.
