Baptist Homes Society, a nonprofit senior living organization with two campuses in Pittsburgh’s South Hills region, announced its 2021 MVP Employees of the Year.

Mission and Vision Personified award winners are selected on a monthly basis by their peers at Baptist Homes in Mt. Lebanon and Providence Point in Scott Township. At the year’s end, one overall winner from each campus is selected by a committee of staff members from across disciplines and campuses as the MVP of the Year.

Baptist Homes’ winner is Matt Corlis, who works in the maintenance department.

“Matt never hesitates to help our residents or staff out. He is a true example of our mission statement,” his nomination stated said.

Providence Point’s winner is James Richardson, a certified nursing assistant in the Skilled Nursing Residence. He’s been working in the healthcare industry for more than two decades now.

“I love and enjoy helping people,”Richardson said.

Both employees received a one-time award of $1,000.

Baptist Homes Society was established in 1910 and is known for its commitment to service, quality care and benevolence for seniors of all faiths in the Pittsburgh region.
