Bethel Park High School student earns Miranda Achievement Award

The 2021 Angel F. Miranda Achievement Award was presented to Julia Trusnovic, a Bethel Park High School student who has demonstrated leadership, participating in the marching band and concert choir. She also has shown compassion to classmates.
Trusnovic takes the lead in teaching others what she knows and has an excellent rapport with students she trains at the Copy Center in the Prevocational Exploration Assessment System laboratory. She has excelled in the lab and has worked hard in any assigned task.
Her goal is to become a massage therapist.
The achievement award was established in 2012 to honor the memory of Angel F. Miranda, a 2007 graduate of Bethel Park school district who attended Pathfinder School, overcoming numerous challenges as he transitioned from high school to adult life. He delivered The Almanac newspaper as one of the many tasks included in his transition plan to develop work skills.
The award recognizes a student with special needs who demonstrates self-determination, tenacity, accepting challenges, overcoming obstacles, service work and going the extra mile.
