Peters Township seeks to fill recreation board vacancy

Peters Township is seeking resumes from citizens willing to volunteer their time and talent to serve on the parks and recreation board.
The board recommends policies and programs designed to meet the leisure needs of all age groups. It assists in reviewing proposed improvements to the township’s park system. Open spaces proposed for dedication by developers are also recommended by board members.
The board consists of seven members, three of whom are recommended by the school district. All members are appointed by council to serve a three-year term.
The board meets at 6 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in the community recreation center.
Those interested in applying for the board vacancy should email their resume and brief explanation of why they want to serve on the board to: Tom Gromek, Project Coordinator, at TGromek@peterstownship.com.
Those who have submitted a letter and resume in the past need to resubmit the information.
