Upper St. Clair School Board elects leadership
Members of the Upper St. Clair School Board elected Dr. Daphna Gans as president and Jennifer Schnore as vice president during its annual reorganization meeting held Dec. 5. Both offices are one-year appointments.
Gans, who served as vice president during 2022, is beginning her sixth year on the school board. Schnore is beginning her fourth year on the board.
Dr. John Rozzo, superintendent of schools, thanked outgoing president Philip Elias for his leadership. Elias, who was first elected to the school board in 2015, served as president in 2022 and vice president in 2021.
The school board will next meet Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. Fast Track Curriculum Recommendations Presentations will be made at this curriculum committee meeting.
Other meeting dates for 2023 are: Jan. 23, Feb. 27, March 27, April 24, May 15, June 5 (Spring Curriculum Recommendations Presentation at 6 p.m.); June 19, Aug. 15, Sept. 18, Oct. 23 and Nov. 20. The reorganization meeting is set for Dec. 4.
