Mt. Lebanon resident joins wellness organization as CFO

Allies for Health + Wellbeing recently hired Mt. Lebanon resident Carrie Reighard as chief financial officer.
Based in Pittsburgh, Allies for Health + Wellbeing provides integrated medical care, supportive human services and community-based education for individuals living with, or at risk of HIV, viral hepatitis or sexually transmitted infections.
“Allies was my unicorn,” Reighard said. “I never really let myself dream that something that fit this well would open up. I really believe in the mission. There are so many different components of the organization. It’s not just one thing.”
Building on three decades of experience, Allies provides the region’s most comprehensive treatment and support for HIV-positive individuals, as well as primary and specialty medical care for the community regardless of HIV status.
“I am extremely excited about having Carrie join the Allies team,” said Sean DeYoung, chief executive officer of Allies for Health + Wellbeing. “Carrie brings with her tremendous accounting experience and knowledge and an outstanding commitment to Allies’ mission and to the community we serve.”
Reighard is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College with a master’s degree from Strayer University. She worked in banking in Philadelphia and in North Carolina before switching her focus to public accounting, in which she worked for 15 years. She moved to Pittsburgh in 2015, and lives with her wife, Kyla, and their two children.
