Students’ poems selected for publication
Poems from two Fort Couch Middle School students, Anelise Castrodale and Erin Wells, were recently selected for publication in the Creative Communication poetry contest.
Erin’s poem “Demons” and Anelise’s poem “Take Me Back” will be published in a student poetry anthology. Only the top 45% of poetry entries are included in the anthology.
The poetry contest, open to students in kindergarten through grade nine, is divided into three grade divisions: K-3, 4-6 and 7-9. Poems could be 21 lines or less on any topic. Entries are judged on literary merit, creativity and social significance by published writers and educators in elementary, secondary and higher education.
