Community involvement sought for Peters Township deer management program

The Peters Township Police Department oversees a deer management program in Peters Township and is looking for community members to become involved.
The department oversees an archery hunt that takes place during the established hunting seasons each year. Volunteer hunters are screened to participate in the program, and authorized hunters are assigned designated hunting areas throughout the municipality.
The managed archery hunt is conducted on both township-owned and privately owned properties. Archers who are interested in participating in the archery program are encouraged to apply.
Also, property owners are encouraged to contact the police department if they wish to donate their property for use in the archery program or sharpshooter program.
