New concussion testing at Bethel Park

The Bethel Park athletic department has partnered with AHN sports medicine to offer a new baseline concussion testing system through Sway.
The Sway System is a research-backed assessment tool that includes a battery of balance tests, cognitive tests, symptom tracking, on-field assessments, and COVID-19 screening.
Since this system uses an app each student-athlete will be required to download the Sway app on their phone prior to their testing session.
A new or updated baseline test is strongly recommended for any student-athlete entering grades 7, 9 and 11 who participates in an at-risk sport.
All sports have the opportunity to receive a test but those sports that fall under the classification of at-risk are: football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, wrestling diving, baseball, softball, lacrosse, pole vault and cheerleading.
The school district is currently scheduling team appointments with the fall sports coaches.
Those interested in receiving a baseline test that do not participate in a fall sport should visit https://calendly.com/bp-athletictraining/c3-logix-baseline-concussion-testing to schedule an appointment.
