Upper St. Clair approves 2022-23 school calendar

The Upper St. Clair School Board approved its 2022-23 school calendar during its recent meeting.

The final version has only two changes from the initial draft. Two early dismissal days that had been scheduled on Oct. 14 and March 17 have been eliminated.

The first day of school for students is Aug. 24. The last day of school for students is June 9 and includes an early dismissal. High school commencement is set for Thursday, June 8.

Thanksgiving recess runs Nov. 23-25. School resumes Nov. 28.

An 11-day Winter Break begins on Dec. 23 and continues through Jan. 2. School resumes Jan. 3.

A 10-day spring break is set for the week preceding Easter. Students will be off from March 31 through April 7. Students return to school April 10.

The school board also made two revisions to its current calendar.

The Boyce Middle School Celebration of Learning event has been rescheduled for May 25 to accommodate the sixth-grade trip to Deer Valley. Boyce students will be dismissed at 1:15 p.m. May 25.

The last day of school for students will now be June 9 and has been changed from a full day to an early dismissal.

Dismissal times are 10:55 a.m. for the high school; 11:55 a.m. for the middle schools and 11:30 a.m. for elementary school students.
