LaGoy awarded scholarship

The Woman’s Club of Upper St. Clair has awarded a scholarship to a graduating senior since the 1950s and the organization presented Arika E. LaGoy as its 2022 recipient.

An honors student, LaGoy maintained a 3.79 GPA while working part time and participating in multiple scholastic and fraternal activities.

LaGoy served as president of the UNICEF club. Through the Junior Mentorship Program, she helped incoming student acclimate to high school. Additionally, she attended the Leadership Academy.

LaGoy earned two varsity letters in volleyball and led the Lady Panthers to two WPIAL playoff appearances.

A National Honor Society member, LaGoy performed community service while volunteering at volleyball camps and at the recreation center, where she is also employed as a fitness attendant and greeter.
