Crown Castle volunteers at area Boys and Girls Clubs

Volunteers from Crown Castle Inc. spent Nov. 15 cleaning up four area Boys and Girls Clubs, including one along Washington Avenue in Carnegie, as part of the company’s Connected by Good initiative.
During the Crown Castle Clean-Up Days, which ran Nov. 14 through 18, 1,100 employees nationwide worked to support the needs of more than 50 Boys and Girls Clubs across the country. Employees volunteered at the Carnegie Boys and Girls Club and spent the day cleaning, organizing, and providing light building maintenance.
This year, Crown Castle partnered with the national Boys and Girls Clubs as part of its two-year “Crown Castle Connects Youth to STEM Program.” The shared communications infrastructure company has committed to invest about $2 million into this partnership, which continues into 2023 with a series of summer STEM Inspiration Days.
“Access to education and technology can make an enormous impact on our youth to prepare them for the future,” Jay Brown, Crown Castle’s chief executive officer, said in a news release. “Through our Connected by Good program we partner with community organizations that are making a difference and we are thrilled to kick off our new partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America this week with Crown Castle Clean-Up Days, where employees restored local clubs so children will have improved the spaces to learn and grow.”
