The Peters Township fall leaf collection has begun. Four weeks remain with pickup dates from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3; Nov. 7-10; Nov. 14-17 and Nov. 28 to Dec. 1. There is no leaf pickup during the week of Thanksgiving.

The collection of leaf waste takes place on the same day when garbage is collected. Leaves will be picked up as a separate collection from garbage and recycling.

Leaves must be in paper lawn and leaf bags or they will not be taken.

Leaf waste is composted at the municipal compost site. Items in plastic bags will not be picked up during the leaf collection season.

All bags must be at curbside by 6 a.m.

Leaf waste may be placed after Dec. 1, but those items will be taken with regular trash collection.
