USC senior selected to all-national honor choir

Upper St. Clair High School senior Edy McCurrie was selected by competitive audition for the 2022 National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All-National Honor Choir.
McCurrie will perform with top high school musicians from all over the country at the NAfME national conference, to be held Nov. 3-6 in National Harbor, Md.
To be eligible to audition, students had to have participated in their state’s All-State Choir.
An Alto 2, McCurrie is a member of the USC Pantheon Choir, Chanteclairs, Clarion Choir and Voces Lux, under the direction of choral director Lorraine Milovac. In addition, she is a member of the speech and debate team, National Honor Society and the varsity soccer team.
NAfME advocates at the local, state, and national levels; provides resources for teachers, parents, and administrators; hosts professional development events; and offers a variety of opportunities for students and teachers. The association has supported music educators at all teaching levels for more than a century.
